Roy Minoff Composition Competition

Max was named the winner of the inaugural Roy Minoff Composition Competition held by Kent State University's Glauser School of Music. Max's commissioned work, Kleine Welten, was premiered at KSU in October 2024.

Quintet at RED NOTE

Max's Quintet for clarinet, strings, and piano was performed at Illinois State University's RED NOTE New Music Festival as the winner of their 13th annual composition competition on Tuesday, March 29, 2023 at 8pm CST.

ICEBERG in Memphis

Max's Peacemaking for ensemble and narrator was premiered by Blueshift Ensemble and Yolanda Sealey-Ruiz at the Crosstown Arts Theater in Memphis, TN on August 19, 2022, as part of ICEBERG New Music's annual residency at Crosstown Arts.
